  • High Bridge Studios & Gallery

I recently photographed High Bridge Studios & Gallery in Newcastle upon Tyne, the building is a converted 1920s warehouse and is home to artists and creative professionals. Here are a few of the images…

  • Roseberry Park

Back in May I photographed Roseberry Park in Middlesbrough for MAAP Medial Architecture . It was a really nice project to work on, even though I spent most of the day ducking in and out of spontaneous rain storms!

Roseberry Park is a new build 312 bed mental health ‘village’ built adjacent to the existing St. Luke’s Hospital, focused upon the individual patient experience.

The accommodation is broken down into a number of ‘houses’ arranged around large activity gardens and courtyards to create an architecture of enclosure without fences, to help remove stigma. The resultant environments encourage use of outdoor space, whether for activity or simply quiet contemplation, with resultant benefits for patient treatment and rehabilitation.

  • Byker Fire

Here are some photos I took of the smoke from the recent fire in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne.

  • Allotment in Spring

On the allotment at the weekend, I took a break from reasoning with dandelions and made the most of the beautiful spring sunshine, here are a few of the photos.

    Someone else enjoying the sunshine.

  • They call it the moon.

I’ve finally coaxed a blog into existence and where better to start than the moon. Here’s a photo I took of our friendly neighbourhood moon recently on a misty night in March.

For those who are interested I used: Nikon D700, f10, 1/125 sec, ISO 200, focal length 300mm, toast & peanut butter.
