The series Finding the Way reflects on the structure of thought. Each print began with an ariel viewpoint, centred upon a house in which I’ve lived and its surrounding buildings. The ariel view offers a different perspective, one where we are no longer caught between fixed objects and ideas. By carving imaginary lines of sight from each building until encountering another building, my aim was to make physical the notion of signals firing through darkness, crossing illusory boundaries between the internal and external world. My choice to focus on the home stems from an interest in how our environment shapes our thinking.
